Signature Pickup Designed for Precision & Versatility The signature Omega bridge pickup is designed after the custom shop model Mark Holcomb created to accommodate the precise and versatile playing style required for Periphery. The bridge model offers the perfect level of percussive destruction and growl to dominate the mids and lows perfect for progressive metal and djent. Although its designed to be very aggressive it still retains plenty of clarity and brightness to cut through the mix and ensure your sophisticated solos complex single-note lines or intense solos can be heard. About Mark Holcomb Mark Holcomb is a guitarist from the Grammy-nominated band Periphery who are considered one of the pioneers of the Djent movement in progressive metal. Lending his guitar work to Periphery and Haunted Shores few guitarists are as advanced as Mark resulting in his own set of signature pickups designed to accommodate the incredible precision and versatile playing styles required for both bands. Their open humbucker design features a high output which complements the heavy distorted tones of Djent and works well standing alone or working in a dense mix. The Alpha/Omega set has been the heartbeat of my sound for the past several years. Since we developed and released the first 6-string set in the custom shop I’ve had the same pickup set in every one of my 6 7 and 8-string guitars live and in the studio. It has remained one of the few components of my rig and setup that I haven’t even thought about tweaking. – Mark Holcomb Specifications DCR: 12.96 Magnet: Ceramic Cable: 4C Shielded Dimensions Length: 3.320 Height: 1.435 Depth: 0.820

About Seymour Duncan
Even with advanced Seymour Duncan manufacturing techniques, it isn’t possible to automate the production of great instruments like this Seymour Duncan Mark Holcomb Omega Bridge Pickup Black. The complexity of the task, combined with the need for constant awareness of the materials being used and the ability to adjust for minute variations, means that there is no substitute for the skill and sensitivity of experienced craftspeople.
Turning designs into great instruments isn’t easy. Technical drawings can’t convey the intended tone of an instrument, or the construction methodology required to create the desired characteristics and sound. Before building a new guitar can begin, the plans and intentions of the designers are discussed with the craftspeople at the factory in order to develop an appropriate production process. Every guitar is different, and coming up with the ideal production methodology and workflow for each guitar is critical.
