Primacoustic RX5 Up Fire Recoil Stabiliser and Monitor Isolator in the Accessories category
Three part design for one acoustic solution Three precision engineered components make up each Primacoustic RX5 Up Fire Recoil Stabiliser which each combine to give you a stable and isolated monitor base. At the bottom a block of high density open cell acoustic foam forms the isolating buffer between surfaces and monitors. Above that the laser cut steel platform adds rigidity and mass to the base making it very stable. The curved front edge of the steel platform also helps to eliminate standing waves keeping your sonic environment clearer. Finally on top of the steel platform a non slip neoprene layer eliminates the recoil of your speakers and focuses your sound. Up fire applications The up fire recoil stabiliser angles your monitor up by 10°. This makes it ideal for studios where monitors need to be placed straight onto your desk. You can put your monitors on a desk or lower surface and still find the sweet spot in your normal listening position. The up fire construction could eliminate the need for monitor stands. Features Acoustically isolating foam ensures separation of monitors and surfaces Non slip neoprene top surface eliminates recoil and focuses your sound Steel platform adds strength rigidity and weight required to hold a monitor Maximum load of up to 10.4 kg – suitable for most 5 monitors Upward tilting design is ideal for placing monitors on desks Specifications Deck: 1/4 steel black powder coated with 1/8 Neoprene pad Base: High density polyurethane foam Number per box: 1 Footprint dimensions: 7.5 x 9.5 (190 mm x 241 mm) Maximum load: 23lbs (10.4kg) Height (slope from back to front): 1.2 to 2.9 (30.5 mm to 73 mm) Weight: 5.75lbs (2.6 kg)

Even with advanced Primacoustic manufacturing techniques, it isn’t possible to automate the production of great instruments like this Primacoustic RX5 Up Fire Recoil Stabiliser and Monitor Isolator. The complexity of the task, combined with the need for constant awareness of the materials being used and the ability to adjust for minute variations, means that there is no substitute for the skill and sensitivity of experienced craftspeople.
Turning designs into great instruments isn’t easy. Technical drawings can’t convey the intended tone of an instrument, or the construction methodology required to create the desired characteristics and sound. Before building a new guitar can begin, the plans and intentions of the designers are discussed with the craftspeople at the factory in order to develop an appropriate production process. Every guitar is different, and coming up with the ideal production methodology and workflow for each guitar is critical.
